Square up your backing fabric. Make sure your backing is a total of 3″ wider om both sides and 3″ longer
on both sides than the front of your quilt (If your top is 60×60, backing needs to be at least 66×66). If
backing is not large enough and I have to attach extras, a surcharge will be added. I cannot load a
quilt on the machine if the backing is not large enough!
Clip all loose threads from the back and front of the quilt top. They will show through lighter fabric. If the threads don’t get clipped, they might show through on light fabric after quilting.
When you deliver your quilt to us you’ll fill out a brief form designating pattern, thread color,
Just as soon as your masterpiece is ready, we’ll call or email you!
Minky quilts are accepted but the fibers will pull up and show. I recommend matching the thread color to the minky fabric. Minky is difficult to work with so anything under 8 inches will be sent back. We do not trim up Minky tops once finished.
Please fold top and bottom of quilts separately. Please do not send quilts sandwiched!
Package your quilt top in the smallest package possible to save on shipping. Please ensure your
quilt is sealed in plastic, so it is waterproof. I will press it if needed before quilting. Shipping batting
can be expensive. It may be more economical to purchase your batting through me or to have it
shipped directly to my address when you purchase it.
